How it works

What happens after you call, step by step

Every case moves at its own pace, but most follow these steps. I'll tell you which one you're on.

  1. 01

Step 1: We talk, for free

You tell me what happened and what's worrying you. I tell you honestly whether I can help, and if I can't, who can.

  2. 02

Step 2: We sign a plain agreement

If you hire me, the fee and costs are written down in words you can follow. You get a copy before I start.

  3. 03

Step 3: I take the calls

Insurers, body shops and billing offices call me, not you. I send letters so everyone knows I represent you.

  4. 04

    Step 4: You get treatment

Your job is to heal. I track your bills and records as you go and check in with you along the way.

  5. 05

Step 5: I build the claim

When treatment is done, or your doctor knows what's ahead, I put the full claim together and send it to the insurer.

  6. 06

Step 6: We weigh the offers together

I explain each offer and what it would leave you with after the fee, costs and medical bills. You decide. If no fair offer comes, we talk about filing suit.

Fees

How the fee and costs work

I work on a contingency fee: a share of the money recovered, set out in our written agreement before I start. You pay no attorney's fee unless money is recovered for you. Case costs, like medical records, filing fees and expert reports, are paid back from the recovery after the fee; if nothing is recovered, you owe neither.

Before you accept any settlement, I'll show you on paper what goes to the fee, what goes to costs, what goes to medical providers, and what comes to you.

Where your case starts

Call or write, and we'll find a time to talk this week.
